A video circulating on social media shows the man going down on one knee and placing a ring on his girlfriend’s finger as she accepted the proposal. Diljit, visibly excited, ran around the stage singing a romantic Punjabi song, later congratulating the couple and inviting the audience to applaud.
The man shared that the couple had been together for 13 years, a detail Diljit enthusiastically relayed to the audience. He also shook hands with the man and hugged his fiancée.

Meanwhile, Diljit’s Pune concert made headlines for another reason: the Maharashtra excise department cancelled a permit to serve alcohol at the event. “The state excise department has cancelled the permission to serve liquor during the programme,” excise commissioner C Rajput told PTI.
Diljit has recently faced criticism for allegedly promoting alcoholism and gun violence in his songs. Earlier this month, the Telangana government issued a notice ahead of his Hyderabad concert, urging him to refrain from performing songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence.
